This is my page of love poems I've written in my teenage years, some a little later. I chose to put a few favorites here, as I've always wanted to publish my poetry. I used to write all the time as a teen, expressing my angst and general melodramatic view of the world in poetry and prose. I've not written lately, perhaps this page will inspire me. After all, I am in love. I hope you enjoy it, as well.

January 1994

Soul Fire

Sun shining out from behind clouds

Smiling, smiling, white pearly glow

Laughing, dancing, eyes meet

Sparkling, glowing, infused

Together dance life souls

Spirits illuminated

Mind - body - soul - one

Together one together

One life paths cross narrow

Carpe diem together one

Familiar comfortable close

Chaotic love light dance together

Light within eyes dance

Mirrors of the soul

Reflections of whimsical fire

Moonbeams shining stars

Fire dance - burning luminescence

Searing intensity flaming passion

Extreme light of strength and splendor

Soul Fire is blazing

Communication flowing

Gentle touch - lips, hands, skin

Energy exchange building, rising

Circle complete, dancing as one

Together one together

Spirits lift and intertwine

Mind - body - soul - one

Simulataneous dance of life

Soul fires blazing

Soft breath meeting

Eyes dance, lips part - one

Together one together

Souls balanced - astral one

Together soul fires blaze - one

Together one together

If being alone is the best way to be

Then whay are so many people together?

If pain overrides pleasure

Then why do people allow themselves to fall in love?

Babe, I can't tell you how many times

I've run those questions through my head

But when I'm with you it escapes me

I fall for you instead

How many nights have I lost my sleep

Wishing I could rid my thoughts of you

But the way you love me

Never leaves me

And it's all I can do to keep control

I've fallen hard for you

This I know

And every part of me

Never wants to let you go

I'm afraid of this love

Afraid to lose you

But taking risks is all I do

So what's one more time

What's one more face

Pleasure for awhile

And then pain takes its place

You take me places I've never been

I can't come down, high again

This time promise me

You won't let me fall

Promise my heart

You won't hurt at all

Promise you'll love me

The way I love you

And I promise I'll let you

For as long as you do

Tonight as I sat and cried

I saw a star go shooting by

In love, in hope, in life, in dreams

I sat and pondered the sight I'd seen

Was the small star as lonely as I

On this black night, as I cried

I touched my face and felt the tears

That I have cried for all these years

And I wished upon that star

That I had seen from afar

I wished to have a love so true

And that was the night that I met you

You took my hand and dried my tears

And somehow diminished my darkest fears

You opened my eyes and helped me see

Everything the world could be

You showed me all that I had missed

With your warm and gentle kiss

You held me in your loving arms

I was captured by your charms

You said to never again be scared

And then I knew that someone cared

Then suddenly I realized

You were my blessing in disguise

Now no longer will I cry

Because I have you by my side

Your deep soft eyes warm my heart

And I knew from the start

I would do anything for you

Because you are my wish come true

Being in Love

Falling, diving, through space, through time

Feeling the rush of wind throught hair, in face

Landing on the wings of a pegasus

Grasping air, sleeping on clouds

Breathing rainbows, emanating sunshine

Running, laughing through wide open fields

Smelling the fragrant spring air

The smiling sun shining down

Embracing the world with wide open arms

Swimming, racing through deep blue waters

The open happiness of the endless ocean

At peace with all, loving all creation

Engulfed in waves, the splashing coolness

Reclining, gazing at the deep night sky

The shimmering stars gleaming from above

Feeling the warm breeze through the giant trees

Standing tall, reaching to the protective moon

This is the feeling

Of being in love

I am the moon

Illuminating the night

Reflecting in the water

Watching over the stars

Drifting above the earth

You are the sun

Illuminating the sky

Shining in the water

Watching over the people

Suspended in space

I am beauty

You are life

You give hope

And sprinkle magic through the air

You give me light

My life comes from you

For without your rays

I would not exist

You shower people in your warmth

Embrace them in your rays

Our beauty is equal

Your sunsets and sunrises

My way of turning from

Silver crescent to glowing sphere

Our love is shared, spread

Washing over people's sadness

And bringing them a smile
